Alessandro Caltagirone

Alessandro Caltagirone has been a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Monte dei Paschi since 8 September 2026.
He previously served as a Director of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. from December 2024 to April 2026, during which time he was also a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Nomination Committee.

He holds a degree in Economics and Business from La Sapienza University in Rome and was a subject expert in Business Economics, Budgeting and Business Planning at both La Sapienza University and at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Luiss University in Rome.

He has served as Director, Deputy Chairman and Chairman in major companies, including listed ones. His positions have included Director and Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of UniCredit S.p.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vianini Industria S.p.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vianini Lavori S.p.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors of FGC S.p.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Italia S.p.A., and member of the Board of Directors of Fincal S.p.A.

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Acea S.p.A. and holds corporate positions in other companies, including Director of Vianini Lavori S.p.A. and Deputy Chairman of Caltagirone Editore S.p.A. and Cementir Holding N.V.
