Alessandro Caltagirone

Alessandro Caltagirone has been a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Monte dei Paschi since December 2024 and currently serves as a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Appointments Committee.

He holds a degree in Economics and Business from La Sapienza University in Rome and has been a subject expert in Business Economics, Budgeting and Business Planning at both La Sapienza University and at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Luiss University in Rome. 

He has served as Director, Deputy Chairman and Chairman in major companies, including listed ones. His positions have included Director and Chairman of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee of UniCredit S.p.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vianini Industria S.p.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vianini Lavori S.p.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors of FGC S.p.A. and Chairman of the Board of Directors Italia S.p.A., and Member of the Board of Directors of Fincal S.p.A..

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Acea S.p.A. and holds various positions in other companies, including Director of Caltagirone S.p.A. and Società per lo Sviluppo Urbano S.p.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ical S.p.A. and Deputy Chairman of Caltagirone Editore S.p.A..
