Antonio Nucci

Degree in Political Science from the University of Urbino.

Mr. Nucci has held senior positions in both the banking and insurance sectors, gaining extensive management experience through key roles in the areas of Retail, Corporate and Private. Starting out in a branch of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group in 1974, he went on to hold several positions of increasing responsibility within the retail supply chain.

From 1996 to 1999, he worked in the international arena, serving as Area Manager for Germany (Frankfurt) in the Corporate Division.

Subsequently, from 1999 to 2001, he consolidated his experience in the Private banking landscape by being appointed General Manager for the transition of Sanpaolo Bank Austria from a retail bank to a private bank as well as Director of Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking.

Following an assignment in the Italian region of Campania, he served as General Manager of Banco di Napoli from 2003-2009, working on the reorganisation and turnaround of the bank. He also held the position of Regional Director for Campania, Basilicata and Apulia.

Continuing his experience as Regional Director, as of 2009 he was first assigned responsibility for the regions of Lazio, Sardinia and Sicily and later for the regions of Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta and Liguria.

From 2014, he developed his experience in the insurance sector of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, first as Head of the Insurance Division and then as Chairman of Intesa Sanpaolo Assicura as of 2015.

Mr. Nucci joined BMPS in October 2016 and is currently Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Deputy General Manager of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A..

His other appointments include:

• Chairman of the Board of Directors of MPS Capital Services S.p.A.;
• Member of the Board of Directors of AXA MPS Assicurazione Danni S.p.A.;
• Member of the Board of Directors of AXA MPS Assicurazione Vita S.p.A..
