Banca Monte dei Paschi: plan guidelines presented to BoD

The Bank is confident the Plan will be an element of attractiveness on the market.

Following up on the press release issued on 9 September, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena confirms that the Restructuring Plan guidelines were presented in the course of today's meeting of the Bank's Board of Directors, on the basis of the discussions held with the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance and the European Commission in August.

The Bank's Management has already initiated all activities required to incorporate the guidelines in the Restructuring Plan and submit it to the Board of Directors for approval as per the announced time schedule, namely on 24 September 2013.

Banca Monte dei Paschi is confident the new Plan will be structured successfully and will be an element of attractiveness on the market in the future.
