Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena: 7 new areas for a more effective geographic footprint
Reorganisation is one of the actions contained in the 2012-2015 Business Plan to optimise productivity and operational efficiency
7 new areas for Following communication of the new Area Managers by the Chief Executive Officer, Fabrizio Viola, to the Board of Directors of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, the reorganisation of the Regional Areas becomes operationally effective. In consonance with the actions set out in the 2012-2015 Business Plan, the Montepaschi Group's rationalisation strategy provides for the application of a distribution-focused model with one business network and footprint optimised to local demand.
Reorganisation involves transition from the current structure, comprising 11 areas (plus Banca Antonveneta), to a more streamlined structure of 7, thus ensuring the development of relationships with local stakeholders and in-depth knowledge of the economic, institutional, cultural and social aspects of the areas in which Banca Mps is present. The new structure, with uniform coverage across the country, is organised into the following areas:
Southern Lombardy and Emilia Romagna, headquartered in Mantua;
North West Italy, headquartered in Milan; Northern Tuscany, headquartered in Florence; Southern Tuscany, Umbria and Marche, headquartered in Siena;
Central Italy and Sardinia, headquartered in Rome;
Southern Italy, headquartered in Naples;
Sicily and Calabria, headquartered in Palermo.
Reporting to the Head of the Network Division, all Areas oversee sales force effectiveness, quality of customer service, risk management and operational efficiency within their geographic designation.
The new Area Managers are:
Alessandro Signorini, Head of the North West Italy Area;
Elfo Bartalucci, Head of the Southern Lombardy and Emilia Romagna Area; Gianfranco Cenni, Head of the Northern Tuscany Area;
Maurizio Bai, Head of the Southern Tuscany, Umbria and Marche Area;
Fausto Mecatti, Head of the Central Italy and Sardinia Area;
Ferdinando Quattrucci, Head of the Southern Italy Area;
Antonio De Feo, Head of the Sicily and Calabria Area.
