Banca MPS: Arturo Betunio appointed head of Administration & budgeting and financial reporting officer
Upon proposal of the Chief Executive Officer & General Manager, Fabrizio Viola, the Board of Directors of Monte dei Paschi di Siena Spa appointed yesterday Arturo Betunio as Financial Reporting Officer, effective from his entry into the Group (on 10 June 2013) as Head of Administration & Budgeting.
Until this date, the role of Financial Reporting Officer will be covered by BMps' Chief Financial Officer, Bernardo Mingrone.
Arturo Betunio, 48, trained at the Guardia di Finanza Academy and holds degrees in Law (University of Pavia), Science of Economic and Financial Security (University of Rome) and Political Science (University of Trieste). He is currently Director of the Italian Revenue Agency where he is Head of the Central Regulatory Department. Previously, after more than 10 years as a Guardia di Finanza officer, Mr. Betunio held senior positions in a number of high-standing companies, including Unicredit, Capitalia, Poste Italiane, Ina. Betunio is also a chartered auditor and licensed attorney.
