Banca MPS: three new directors replaced
Daniele Discepolo, Marco Miccinesi and Marina Rubini join Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena Spa hastoday replaced three new independent directors. After directors Turiddo Campaini, MicheleBriamonte and Tania Groppi left the Board in recent months, the Board of the Siena-based lenderis now joined by Daniele Discepolo, Marco Miccinesi and Marina Rubini.
Daniele Discepolo, 66 years old, graduated in Public Law from the University of Pisa and isproprietor of the law firm Discepolo, the Italian representative of U.S., English, Swiss, French andSpanish law firms. He currently holds the office of Chairman in Risanamento and serves on theBoard of Directors of major companies, including Piaggio (where he is Chairman of the RiskControl Committee, lead independent director and responsible for Privacy policies), Artemide andManucor. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors for Pianoforte Holding,which owns the companies Yamamay and Carpisa, and is a pro bono director of the “FilareteFoundation for Biosciences and Innovation". By appointment of the Ministry of Development, Mr.Discepolo is special commissioner for the companies, Livingston, Meraklon and Valtur.
Marco Miccinesi, 57 years old, holds a degree in Law and is a Cassation lawyer with the Court ofFlorence. Professionally based in Florence, Milan and Rome, Mr. Miccinesi works in the fields ofFiscal Law and Business Consulting. He is Full Professor of Fiscal Law in the Law Faculty ofMilan's Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Director of the Centre for Studies and Researchin Italian and Comparative Fiscal Law at the same University. Mr. Miccinesi holds positions ofresponsibility in several companies.
Marina Rubini, 44 years old, holds a degree in Law from Milan's Università Cattolica del SacroCuore and a Masters degree in Law from the Northwestern University School of Law of Chicago(Usa). She is currently Head of Novartis V&D's Legal Department for Italy and the SouthernEurope Cluster and lives in Siena. In addition to having collaborated with leading law firms in bothItaly and abroad, Rubini served as Corporate Area Manager in the legal department at Tamoil Italia and later as Head of corporate compliance, antitrust and commercial contracts in the legal andcorporate affairs department at Bayer.Rubini has also been recognised in the Bellisario Foundation's “1000 Excellent Curriculum Vitae”which brings together the first-rate CVs of women with outstanding professional profiles.
