Francesco Bochicchio is an independent director of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A: since May 2020, he has also been a member of the Related-party transactions Committee.
Having obtained a Law Degree from the University of Rome, he has continued to carry out his academic activity and, since 2010, he has been Professor of Financial Intermediaries Law at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Parma.

He has been practicing law in Milan since May 2020 and is founder of the Bochicchio&Partners law firm, specializing in a broad range of areas among which banking, finance and securities brokerage, corporate and labour law aspects, and public economic law, including the criminal law aspects of financial markets and corporate law.

With regard to previous experience, he worked for: Istituto Bancario San Paolo in Turin, where he held legal duties; Fideuram Gestioni S.p.A. as Legal Manager of relations with the Supervisory Authorities and Trade Associations, later becoming Head of the Legal Advisory Service of BancaFideuram and FideuramSim; he was later appointed Head of the Legal Department of Credit Suisse SIM and then of Credit Suisse (Italy) S.p.A., Credit Suisse Asset Management Sim and Credit Suisse Asset Management Funds SpA and was subsequently Head of HR, Compliance and Client Area Supervisor.

He was also appointed Extraordinary Commissioner for the Bank of Italy of Cassa di Risparmio della Provincia di Chieti in Extraordinary Administration, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of Carichieti in administrative compulsory liquidation (still ongoing), Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of Banca Padovana Credito Cooperativo S.C. and member of Banca Padovana Credito Cooperativo S.C in administrative compulsory liquidation.
